I received this plant 7 years ago, purchased as 'Venus'. Because it didn't bloom for 2 or 3 years I didn't know it was mis-identified until it did bloom.
Flowers not fragrant, not double, not white. So my garden name for it became "Vee-Not"! But... it is a gorgeous plant; I love it and would really like to know what it is. The once very reliable nursery it came from had several changes of ownership and went out of business, not long after I purchased the plant.
It forms a large clump, layered form with smooth leaves despite fairly prominent veining. Long pointed leaves, 12"x7" , 9-10 vein pairs, lavender flowers.
Ideas, anyone?
