I think I'll nick-name this one Uncle Sam. The original stock was ordered from B&D as 'The Spirit Of 76' collection several years ago. It was a package mix of about 12 different color Trumpets. I moved them again last Fall and this Spring some of them came up real 'leggy'. Not sure why; they certainly were planted deep enough.

Just wondering what would happen if I mounded two of them with an extra 5 or 6 inches of dirt, if that would encourage more stem roots and bulk the bulb up more. The extra dirt would be removed in the Fall to maintain the correct depth.
