Ann, that looks like a Gray Hairstreak. How I wish I could grow coneflowers. They're native, right? So I'm thinking, easy. I grow all sorts of native plants! But I've tried them in shade, part shade, part sun, full sun, from seed, full-grown plants, species, hybrids - and I kill them every dang time! And they're such a great butterfly plant and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. It's depressing.
