Here is the front corner of the tractor. See the packing sticker with a drawing of the assembled lawnmower?

The sides I lined with hardware cloth (metal mesh). Corners are screwed together with 2 1/2" screws. I had the screws and hardware cloth from a previous project.

I added a couple of 45' angled braces and made a slightly larger removable lid out of scrap pallet parts and a couple of pieces of wood. Vinyl roofing on the back walls for weather protection and on the roof as well. I added screws wherever the factory staples were and there was too much flex.

I only have about $35.00 total into this project and since the crate and pallets were made from oak. The whole thing is hardwood not pine. Hardwood lasts a lot longer than pine outside. I might add some pressure treated fence boards along the sides lift the whole thing up 1 1/2"and screw them on. This way the oak never touches the ground.

7' long and 5' wide. That's 35sq. ft. Plenty of room for the 6 five week old geese in there now.
