No, I planted them like that to naturalize. That is not truly a part of our "lawn" around the house. This is a photo taken in the winter before we closed on the house last year but it will show where they are planted. I put them in the area in the foreground of the photo which is behind & to the sides of the pergola. I've also sown wildflower seeds there & there is to be no mowing that area until fall.
