The first Datura, Evening Fragrance is opening tonight! Last night was a full moon so hopefully the clouds will dissipate soon so I can shoot some moonlight pictures.

In photographing this flower I had an epiphany. This was the first time I had really seen a truly white flower probably over 20 years. The cataracts in both eyes were so bad that they literally tinted everything yellow and I didn't have a clue the color shift was so dramatic until I had the first eye done. I had both eyes done a while back and the novelty of true colors and clarity still hasn't worn off.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
