Who has wild babies to show or tell about? I'll start with Mrs. Wood Duck and her brood. She raises her family solo, as Mr. Wood Duck disappears after the "wedding". She usually hatches at least a dozen tiny ducklings, which have no discipline at all and dash about in all directions. When small the ducklings are easy pickings for predators such as herons and snapping turtles, until only a few are left, but that's all that are needed.
