Well, these should do well in a 5b garden but there is no guarantee. I have people as low as zone 3b that buy from me but each plant is different. These survived the awful winter we had and we got down in the single digits for a couple days and had sleet/snow sitting around them for a few days plus numerous freezes all winter.

Yes I do spray for rust. No spray is said to actually kill rust and with living in this area even if it did kill the rust the plants can become reinfected from someone 60 miles away not treating rust. I have not seen rust on any of these seedlings this year and my spray regimen has not been on schedule because of all the rain so I would like to say they do not have rust. If you get really cold winters then it can rid you of any rust also. But if you are really concerned about getting rust I would have to say not to buy any, maybe buy from the other sale going on by bluegrassmom who is from zone 6b in KY The thread "Mixed daylilies, plant the color of the rainbow in your garden!
