Oh, I thought they needed a cold spell. 40 days of below 40? I bought some liners when I first started and they went straight into the ground, we do get down to 20° a few times usually but last year we got down to 7°! My hostas are much larger now and they loved it. Here is a pic of some liners I got from Yahoo Groups a few years ago. They are tissue culture.
