I'm amazed I did not lose any heuchera this past winter. It was unbelievably cold here in Minnesota. I actually lost a few a couple of winters ago when we had very little snow and almost no cold weather...got really bad frost heave. I'm happy the heuchera are so hardy, because I absolutely love them. Have maybe 20 cultivars and always look for more. I lean toward the big villosa varieties and those that have pink or red flowers. Brownies would be my favorite villosa (but I can't find them anywhere now!), and Regina, Splendens and Snow Angel are my favorites for colorful flowers.

Old gardeners never die. They are just pruned and repotted.
