Anni, you said it just right. We are the appreciators of the art, created by nature, and adorned in new finery by hybridizers. I love them, no matter their parentage.

It's a little like dogs or cats or even people. If they love us and if we love and take care of them, then does it really matter what their brand is? I don't think so.

Marilyn, my biggest problem if I were hybridizing would be letting go of those seedlings that didn't do what they are supposed to do. I'd end up in a teeny tiny house in the middle of acres and acres of daylilies.

Vic, the way I figure, we've got about 2 more weeks of dwindling blooms. When I was teaching it seemed that the daylilies stopped blooming just in time for me to start getting ready to go back to school. Smiling
