Bev, thank you. I still have this plant in a container but it's not doing so great; part got frozen during a cold snap and the poor thing is extremely root bound ... I really should put it in the ground but our dog has destroyed a lot of hedges in the seven months we've had him so I hesitate to plant anything in the yard for now lest he destroy it when he's chasing lizards. With different lighting the bloom color looks different but the true color is a deep burgundy red as in the last photo below:
