Seedfork, all hostas must have at least 30 days of temperature around 40° or colder.
Seedlings if potted, may go in the house, but you must provide that dormancy. Some in warmer climates put them in the refrigerator.

If potted and kept outdoors in colder climate, the pots should be turned on their sides after they go dormant, but before it's to cold to move them. This is to prevent crown rot in the spring.

Like dormant daylilies, it not given dormancy, the plants will soon die.
