There are a lot of different kinds. Some have the most intoxicating lovely fragrance! But the one that's invasive, here too, doesn't smell very good at all, kind of sickly sweet. When I find one of the good ones sending up a bloom stalk, I chop it off with a bit of root and the attending four or five leaves, and bring it inside, they are only fragrant at night. There's a variety with nearly black green leaves that's the best for fragrance.
