Cow manure is good and horse manure is also supposed to be good for daylilies.
And bunny droppings too.
I just learned alfalfa pellets can burn daylilies, so add them between plants.

I'm using a variety of fertilizers, most being long term since I don't want to take time for fertilizing more frequently with the watery kind.
Don't forget minerals. Your leaves are a wonderful addition. Keep adding them.
