Just make sure that the covering doesn't touch the cutting. That way lies rot. Smiling
I can tell you that the one time I tried petunia cuttings, with and without the dome, the ones under the dome did MUCH better. I guess the cover keeps the leaves from drying out while the cutting is trying to root.
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.
