LOL you guys. Deadheading is a very important part of garden and nursery cleanup, right? :-)

This spring, I spread a couple packets of wildflower seeds in my 'new' space near the birdfeeder. A couple dozen varieties of plants, but only a handful of those actually germinated:

Shrug!

I also purchased some packets of native seeds online but hardly any of those germinated. Sad Maybe because I sowed them later in the season, and the sun may have been hard on tiny seedlings.

Other seeds I sowed early in the spring have done really well, especially the cosmos!

The pollinators love the cosmos, too, so next year I'm going to sow more cosmos! Smiling

Speedie, the hollyhock seeds you gave me germinated and are still growing! Thumbs up
