The thread "Unknown glaucous vine" in
Plant ID forum
Does anyone recognize this vine? At first glance it looks like a Morning Glory or Coral Vine, but it is neither.
Closeup of seed leaves and of mature leaf:
The good people on the Plant ID forum are usually quick to ID, especially when there are distinctive characteristics to help in the ID, but so far no one has found an answer.
Notable characteristics:
The leaves are blue-gray in color, and cordate in shape
The leaf edges are notched (crenate) not serrated
The vine climbs by tendrils, does not twine
The seed leaves are a quite distinctive palmate shape
Anyone here know this vine? Dozens, maybe hundreds of these have suddenly sprouted in my yard this year, seed likely carried by birds.
