i am trying to figure out why last year indoors it had more pink blush, while this year outdoors it does not.
i read on one of the seller's sites that deeper shade produces more pink on 'white queen', which would be consistent with my color this year. and also older mature leaves can become more pink (my 'fl sweetheart' does that) - perhaps my leaves are not old enough yet, compared with last year.
also temp/sun exposure will affect color:
temps over 85F bleach out color - it's been pretty nice here, only mid 80s and leaves are very white now. but last year it was indoors - so only 75F max.
also too much nitrogen increases green - i feed mine with 1:1:1 ratio, so no excessive green.
i am trying to figure it out since i liked my pink blush last year better then pure white with almost plum (very deep wine red) this year. guess, i can put one plant indoors and see if new leaves will change.
i am not particular about names actually, but since there was no pic for 'fl sunrise' in the database i thought i might put mine in ;). but now i am pretty much convinced that it is 'white queen'.
