Teresa, I rarely water mine and we have been in an extreme drought for nearly three years. Because they are all in full sun for a few hours each morning, they do burn and lose leaves and crisp up every Summer. And the ones I listed as growing in my yard come back just as strong as ever every year. (They also do fantastic in containers.) Up to you if you want to have very lush green and water daily or let them dry out some and be less pretty.
It’s okay to not know all the answers.
