Sometimes they're correct, sometimes not. Most of the daylily plants sold at the big box stores like Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, etc, come from places like this

Hundreds of acres of plants growing and propagating in Central America where there is virtually no winter. They sell plants by the thousands to wholesalers, who in turn, service the garden stores.

Log onto their site, and download the list of daylily cultivars available. It's interesting information.
