Well, Lynn, I can't tell. I originally acquired it in the early 70s where it was growing totally under florescent lights in an old inkwell without a drain hole. There it was not exposed to sunlight, even indirectly. It thrived, but under those growing conditions had a very delicate look to it and trailed out of the container in a nice way. Of course it got bumped from time to time and I took broken leaves home and ended up with a plant that grew differently depending on how it was being grown. In sun it has a lot more brown tint and generally the leaves are thicker and more succulent than when it grew under the artificial lights. Under dappled light it looks more like you see in my photo. I've seen it bloom, but don't have a photo. I just got this back this summer. I'd shared with a lot of folks over the years and first two I asked were still growing it. It's really hard to kill, but truthfully, it looks like acutifolium as much as texanum depending on how it's grown. Guess I'll wait for it to bloom and try again. Thanks.
Donald
