Rita, I think those might be your red border lilies?



These are sold as such but that really isn't a cultivar name listed in the RHS Lily Register and checklist and probably shouldn't be listed in the cultivar area of the data base. Many of the "non-lily specialist" companies put together different groups of lilies to suit a certain purpose, in this case a lower growing lily to use in a garden border.

Bamira, that is a real good guess! Thanks for offering it. The color looks very close. There is a major (but many of us wouldn't notice) difference between Rita's Bloom and Tiny Ghost, and that is the color of the stigma right in the middle of each bloom. Tiny Ghost has a light green stigma that kind of pops out from the red background while Rita's lily has a dark red stigma much like the color of the petals.
