Oh, you poor thing. And bleach, oh no! That can only make things worse no matter what 'some people' say. Bleach is harmful to your skin.
Go get some Bentonite clay; better yet, send your husband to the store since he is so helpful.
The Bentonite clay works for the poison ivy rash and lots of other things, too. Here is a link with a bit more info:

I recently got a bit carried away while pulling out some ragweed down the road and stepped on an ant mound. About 100 ant bites. After soap and water, I soaked in an Epsom Salt bath then applied a paste of Bentonite clay, sea salt and water.
It's not attractive but who cares. The itch stopped
immediately. Two days later...practically all better.
Next time remember to wear long sleeves, gloves and duct tape. The duct tape will seal your gloves to your sleeves and eliminate the gap that exposes skin. ...um, I mean, next time put the gloves and duct tape on your husband and point him in the direction the poison ivy.
The brand I happened to have was Redmond - stuff is so pure you could actually eat it.

Hope you're all healed before the six weeks; happy anniversay to you both.
