Tiffany, I'm not sure that there is a way of finding the latest plants added to that category, but I think you should relax and not try to keep tabs every time the count rises. Just check the listings every month or every couple of months to see whether something unsuitable has been added.
As for the search results, I see what you mean. I would have thought that the jumbled results could be blamed on entries listed in order of popularity, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The first half of the entries are in order by genus and the second half are in order by common name. It's peculiar, I agree. It looks odd to jump in the second half from Anacampseros to Pilea to Crassula to Soleirolia to Fenestraria, breaking the rules of capitalization for the genera, simply to keep the common names in alphabetical order.
I personally have no great affection for common names, but they are handy when I'm searching for plants and I'm not sure of the genus. I wish, though, that they could be used only as a search aid and would never affect the alphabetical order of entries.
