This revision to Xanthosoma illustrates the difficulties when dealing with the cultivated species I mentioned earlier, specifically X. sagittifolium.

In the article Goncalves argues that while "It has has been stressed that many forms can be considered cultivars of Xanthosoma sagittifolium...it seems that most authors are not completely sure about what constitutes Xanthosoma sagittifolium..."
