Name: Christine North East Texas (Zone 7b) Shine Your Light!
This plant comes back every year in the same spot out in the wild, never bigger or smaller, just the same two little plants. The closest I've come is maybe Pseudognaphalium obtusifolium. It's not so easy to photograph but don't want to disturb it to get a pic.
