We were having fun exploring a new Hobby Lobby store in a nearby city yesterday, and my hubby got me this plant. I have read about it before and I said, sure let's see how it goes.

The box came with the plastic container and some lava rocks, plus the dessicated plant. So simple instructions enough, wash the container, rocks and plant and then soak the plant in water.
Took some photos as it goes:

Out of the box:

Initial soaking in water:

30 minutes after, the leaves slowly unfurling, center part turning green slowly and I also added some clay rocks below, since I have lots of those here:

About an hour after initial soak:

Just before I turned in to sleep..already late about 7 hours after initial soak:

This morning after I woke up, around 8:40 am, plant wide open and green, however, it does smell damp, like damp clothes unable to dry..a little too much smell to take Rolling my eyes. Hilarious! but it is interesting to see that it does revive well. I rinsed the plant, replaced the water. Instruction in the box says to do that for a few days.

I took it outdoors in a shady part of my garden..will leave it there..do not know if the smell will dissipate. I want to see how it reacts to our 90's temp. Will update again later.
