I am thrilled to hear they survived that horrible winter. I lost so many things last year, that I now question how hardy some plants truly are. I was quite surprised to lose some of my phlox.
Given what you have said about the heat and humidity, I will plant them in deep shade. I will be redoing some of my beds next spring and some of my shade beds are on that list.
The plants I picked up are gorgeous 1 gallon plants. I was only going to get 1 until I found out they are $3.25 each at Lowes. I don't know if you are in FB, but I have a picture of my plants on it.

I did get involved with a co-op that will be in the spring of 2015 that has all different colors of the heuchs. They will need to be babied, however - I was looking for a number of them. Mamajack (Barb) on Cubits.org is having the co-ops.
