I can't really address growing this specific plant, but when repotting and changing the growing conditions (light, temperature, humidity and all that stuff) it's not uncommon for a plants' old growth leaves to yellow and fall off. A healthy stem with healthy roots is quite capable of generating new leaves and growth from the stem. So even if the remaining leaf does fall off, you shouldn't give up as long as the stem stays green and flexible.
