Peanuts are I believe cousin to Violets. In that after blossom drops off the stem grows long and a seed head develops.

The boss lady of a pet charity of mine tries every year, to grow something new. Now I had as perfect a place to grow peanut in new england as any could hope for. I only got lucky about one year in three. I think she does not have a snowballs chance in hades. Still I like her style, and this may help her tick this one off of her bucket-list.
