Dear websemps, I find the scent quite sweet and inviting. Especially Hamamelis japnoica. It is hard to explain the smell, but it is strange that you get a wonderful scent in the winter. It can be floral, lovely though. You had better ask a woman to tell you, as I am not too good at explaining scents.
