Are the plants outdoors in the summertime? Just thinking they wouldn't make seeds if they are indoors all the time because they aren't getting pollinated (unless you do it, with a tiny paint brush).

In any case, I'd stick with propagating by cuttings, myself. It takes a lot less time than starting seeds.
