Our roses are freeze-dried, leaves and all. Even the trees were caught by surprise by the extreme plunge. Looks like we'll have dried green leaves on everything until spring! The blossoms turned black!
The lilac buds don't look too good. I don't think our plants are loving our 75 degree swings because the plunge came before most plants were even thinking about shutting down. On top of that, the soil is still way too dry.
Last week when it warmed up for a day, I watered evergreens and roses. One of my best hoses split already. I was just sure I had it totally drained. Angry
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
