...that last weekend, I ordered 4 yards of mulch after the rains. Everyone knows you get more mulch pound for pound after it rains. More mulch to cover already wet ground. And these temps sure beat late spring temps near 90 degrees. Why not, right? I'll tell you "why not"! Because Christmas is around the corner that's "why NOT"! I am hitting my head against the wall. And so explains why the small mountain of mulch has been sitting on my driveway for 4 days. What's more, because I bought it wet, as it dries and fluffs up, it's expanding like curly hair on a rainy day!

I have a house full of family coming starting next week when DD comes home from college. I took a 3 day break after spreading mulch in the front yard beds to clean the carpet and prepare the guest rooms, tidy up etc. I still have shopping to do and menus to plan. Will it all get done? Stay tuned...
