Normally I am a Team Natural person. But my first year in a new house, alone except for a pet ferret and 2 cats, I opted for a smallish artificial tree with unbreakable ornaments. On a low table with a cheerful plaid tree skirt. It looked so cute and little; a good fit in my small house.

Seems like artificial was a good choice!

I sat relaxing in my comfy chair watching a Christmas movie on the telly. Suddenly there was a crash. Then I saw whizzing past me in a blur...
Joe, the ferret...in this mouth was the gold beaded garland I had arranged so perfectly on the tree...after watching 3 feet of gold beads zip by next came the Sunny, the orange cat with a firm mouth grip on a tree branch...followed by rest of the tree which was spewing ornaments everywhere...and finally good old Momma, the gray cat who was late to the party.

Best Christmas ever; a good time was had by all. Lovey dubby
