Sharon, what a brilliant solution to the obsessed birds problem. I will have to remember that one.
I think they do that thinking they are warning off a competitor. They have no idea it's their own reflection. We have different birds that keep attacking the rear view mirrors on the sides of the van. They only do it spring through summer when they are mating or the chicks have not left the nest yet. We watched a silly male bluebird last year who was bound & determined to kill that bird in the mirror! Sometimes they even do it to the windows or windshields on the car because of the tinting which makes a reflective effect.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
