Oh, you won't be sorry to have this beauty in your garden! The first one I had ever seen (after living on a property in NSW, Australia, where the wild one is a classed as a noxious pest) was already planted in the garden when I first moved into the town.
It was a marvellous cropper & the jam I made from the berries won a first prize in the Jam Section at a local Ag. Show. Great, as it was the first time I'd entered!
Now, having moved away & then moving back .. across the road from where I was before .. I now have another whopper of a plant from the original plant (by root division) growing here.
We are soon to add a long trellis on which to grow it further, along with existing Campsis & grapevine, over our smaller vege gardens to add summer shade from our hot sun in Australia.
Just make sure your support is strong, as it can become heavy on just wires. Pic. is some ripening fruits from this year.
