Just a warning to Florida gardeners - this plant is considered a Category I invasive exotic by the Florida Exotic Plant Pest Council.
http://www.fleppc.org/list/FLE... Also, the Council and the Florida Atlas of Vascular Plants say the name Senna bicapsularis is an excluded name and was misapplied to Senna pendula var. glabrata. So just know they are the same plant if you see them listed.

If you want to grow a Senna plant, I would recommend the native Senna ligustrina (Privet Cassia). I am a butterfly gardener and use this plant as a host plant for the Cloudless Sulphur and the Orange-Barred Sulphur. It blooms much the same but without the pesky side effect of being invasive.
