Hi gardengus,

Hope you're staying warm. It's been cold here, but better than in the past few days. Less wind. No snow, or sleet, or ice or ..... you know!

I am so looking forward to spring. I recently changed my screen savor photo on my PC. It's a shot of my little front garden walkway garden filled with blooming daffodils and bleeding hearts from last spring. When I look at it, I keep thinking soon, soon .... Sighing!

You asked about my avatar? His name is Patch. He'll be 2 in February. He's a sweetheart. Hubby and I decided about a month ago to get another kitty. Patch's companion, Dixie, died this past August. She was 14. He really could use some company, and we love cats! We been visiting pet shelters recently looking for kittens, but they tend to get adopted pretty fast. Shelters have many cats for adoption that are 2 years or even older in age, but we felt that adopting an older cat would not be an easy transition for either the new cat, or Patch. We figured a kitten around 6-7 months old would be a much better choice. Less stressful for all. At the beginning, we know there will be hissy fits galore, but after awhile, things should settle down. Then hopefully, Patch and the "kitty" will be best buds!

Well, stay warm and think "Spring". Smiling
Jane
