Here's the plant in question:

Sweet Acacia (Vachellia farnesiana)

Usually guilds try to provide useful things for the members. For example, fruit trees need pollinators, so it's recommended to plant flowers that attracts bees, like bee balm, comfrey and stuff like that.

So, what does Huisache need? It's a nitrogen fixer, it attracts bees, it has lots of good beneficial properties. Other than its thorns and poisonous fruit, I'd say that the Huisache is a fine specimen to include in nearly any guild. I'd advise perennial herbs planted under and around it, any herbs that you'd find useful.
