57 years old is impressive for a clump of Amaryllis. If you've moved them with you, they are true "pass along" Amaryllis. Some day you will pass them on to family and friends. Well, caterpillars do turn into pretty butterflies and moths, but hopefully not at the expense of your precious bulbs.
