Caladiums look beautiful in hanging baskets too. If you have space you could bring the baskets inside to a basement, closet or garage during the winter after they go dormant and move them back outdoors when the weather warms up in the spring. I plant mine directly in the ground here in Florida and if we have mild winters they most always re-sprout but if we have a few frosts or freezes unfortunately they are goners. These photos are from a few years ago.
