Growing fruits and vegetables for home use requires time, energy, money and a lot of emotion. Once these investments have been made and we stand proudly in our gardens surveying the bounty we are about to harvest do we sure how to store it properly until it will be consumed or processed?
This chart from UC Davis should eliminate some of the guess work.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting ‘...Holy Crap ...What a ride!'
