Thanks everyone. I just got the melons, cucumbers, and squash in. They should be up soon. I am running out of space...gonna have to get the tractor out and plow up another section soon. That is alfalfa in the bean patch Mary. It is everywhere except under the corn. The squash will grow there to shade the soil. I am afraid of grass clippings...don't want no stinkin bermuda sprouting in my veggie beds. I won't even grass it in the compost tumbler. The drip system in the potato patch has a cap on the bottom of the PVC tube and the tube has holes drilled in it so I can deep water. I felt like I did not get the water deep enough last year. I always said when I retired I was going to put up a stand on the corner, take my laptop out there and sell organic veggies and day trade. I'm close...the HOA is being real mean about the stand though.
The reason most people fail instead of succeed is because they give up what they want most for what they want at the moment.
