Frogs - that's a good one!
We live on a creek, and there are frogs, or toads, or
something that live on the banks. (Even if I got a good look, I'm not sure that I could tell the difference; our native critters here are tiny things (with incredibly loud voices) which blend in amazingly well.)
Last year I had two plastic boxes holding tree pots with daylily seedlings. Now, these boxes were on my patio, probably 60 feet minimum away from the creek banks (and another 10-12 feet down to the creek), but I was surprised to find a small frog or toad down in between the tree pots! I am not sure how it got there or what it was doing down there... looking for snails or slugs?
