I have no use for internet bullies!

I always use the Forsythe Pot method...http://garden.org/ideas/view/greene/1398/Improved-Forsythe-Pot-Idea/

One thing to keep in mind about apple trees is that the original tree growing in the park may have been grafted onto a root stock and your tree, once it takes root, could grow a lot taller/larger than the original.
