Another one - patience. I have had several plants which steadfastly refused to bloom for several years until last year:

Egyptian Queen - worth the wait, it's gorgeous and it just bloomed and bloomed

Patchwork Puzzle - a gift from a friend who suggested moving it which I did and it worked!

Primal Scream - I moved it twice, once as it was being swamped & the 2nd time because I was fed up with the lack of blooms. It's obviously happy now
