Buckeyes eat a lot of different things and I must admit, I didn't know Firecracker Fern (that's what I call it) was one of them. My neighbor has this plant and it's on the border with my property. I see a lot of Sulphur butterflies on it, but I never thought to check for caterpillars. We grow it at MOSI, too. But there we typically feed the Buckeyes either Ruellia spp. or Plantago spp.
