Was just about to lament that I wanted some fish tank water when I realized - I do have fish-y water! Just not in a tank. I think I'll try a few buckets of water from my little pond as a weekly dunk this spring. Hey, I guess I don't really even need to bother with the bucket, just dunk the orchids in the pond. Maybe the fish will benefit from a few bugs off the 'chids as well.

Now I wish I had two plants of the same type again to try this as a real experiment, comparing packaged fertilizer and tap water with fishy fertilizer and pond water. Hmm, I see another Apopka run in my future . . .

Maybe I need more fish, too . . . life is so exciting.
